Infant Program

Welcome to the Infant Room!

6 weeks to 12 months

adorable baby student in Dublin infant care program

The Infant Room is designed for infants up to 12 months old. Our Dublin infant care program experience will positively change your child during their first year of life and Dublin Learning Academy is happy to be a part of such a special time.

Our priority is to provide each infant with a warm and secure environment that will encourage developmental growth. Our teachers are highly trained to give the best care to each child while nurturing skills in language and motor development.

Dublin Learning Academy teachers introduce and utilize baby sign language encouraging infants to vocalize. Parent-directed instructions guide us as we work with the family to maintain each child’s personal schedule. Dublin Learning Academy specializes in individualized care for infants through open communication with families who have entrusted their most important treasures to us.

Focus in the Infant Room

Dublin Learning Academy is committed to our young infants’ consistency between home and school. The goal of an infant teacher is working closely with the parents to understand and follow the desired parent schedules. Parents will complete a Student Profile detailing eating, sleeping and other specifics regarding how they want their child’s day to flow. Parents are encouraged to update profile sheets as needed since things change so quickly at this age. Infants thrive at Dublin Learning Academy because teachers bring an expertise in the area of infant development and a passion for partnering with parents to offer consistency and love.

Dublin  Infant Care Nutrition

Nutrition is an important element of each child’s healthy development. Parents provide a supply of bottles for each day. The infant room welcomes parents who wish to nurse or stop in to facilitate feedings. As foods are introduced, parents provide food and snacks and a nutrition plan that is best for their child. All bottles must have the child’s name on it and the date the bottle was made.

Dublin  Infant Care Play Time

There are a wide variety of toys and equipment for your child to use while in the Infant Room. Infants have “tummy time” on the mats and use the bouncy chairs or floor gyms, swings and exersaucers to help with developmental milestones. Infants also participate in story time, and sensory play, while having a safe place to learn and explore!

Dublin  Infant Care Nap Time

Rest is a vital part of every child’s healthy development. Infants nap frequently and Infant Room teachers work with families to establish individual napping schedules for each child. Parents furnish bedding weekly that is sent home the last day of each week to be cleaned.

Dublin  Infant Care Diaper Changing

Children are changed every two hours if not otherwise specified or needed. Parents supply diapers, wipes and diaper cream (as necessary) for their child. Parents are required to bring in two packages of wipes each month. Please refer to the parent handbook for diaper changing policies and procedures.
